Claire Wineland, 13, filmed this just before returning to ICU once again. Claire has a heightened awareness of life, which clearly comes across in this video, as she talks about the importance of goals. In her life, she lives and breathes the advice she gives. Claire was born with Cystic Fibrosis. She has survived dozens of surgeries and more hospitalizations than she can count. Last year she survived 17 days in a coma on full life support. Since recovering from her coma, Claire has traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, and most recently fulfilled her biggest mission... spreading joy in a Flash Mob in Santa Monica, California (raising over $24000 to help families dealing with Cystic Fibrosis). Through all of her challenges, Claire is inspired, passionate, and excited about making a difference to others by sharing her experience, strength and hope with them. Claire has recently suffered many setbacks but maintains a positive attitude and believes this is the key to living a fulfilling life - despite being burdened with such a deadly disease. For now, Claire intends to continue on her mission to spread joy and help other kids find their purpose. **** 6/09/11 UPDATE - After being in the hospital for 3.5 weeks Claire is out of the hospital again!
